January Numbers (now with more numbers!)

Here are our numbers for January!

Girls-

Siblings-

(Brand New!)

That's right, we finally have our siblings number! After almost 7 months, our home study update is finally complete! Home study updates don't usually take this long, but because we moved it took a little bit longer to get settled and to have our social worker come out to our house.

So about this siblings number. I know 25 seems really low compared to our other numbers. But the siblings list moves much much slower than the other two lists, so this doesn't mean we will for sure get siblings. And the good news is that these numbers are already out of date, because a couple of referrals weren't included in these calculations. But what I'm realizing now is that the numbers don't matter, because God knows who our child or children are and we just have to wait until we see their faces. It could be in 6 months, it could be in 2 years. We are just taking it day by day.

In other news, I went to the Created for Care retreat in Atlanta last weekend! I love this retreat because it's not an overload of attachment information or educational lectures (although those are very beneficial too). It's more about getting recharged and reconnected with all the moms I usually only get to talk to online! Our agency has an amazing community of adoptive parents and we are all seriously like best friends. We just rarely get to see each other in person! I wish I was a good blogger like last year but I didn't take any pictures this time! Oops. But it was so amazing to get to talk with all my AGCI mamas and meet some new people as well!

Also, I started my Etsy shop! Right now I have a couple of scarves and some baby hats that I knitted up for sale. Please check it out! I know this winter has been pretty mild for most of us but I'm sure there are going to be more cold snaps and these items are made to last for years!

I know my blog has turned into a monthly number update, but I just really don't have a lot to post about. I'll try to do better! Whenever we finally do get a referral, whenever that may be, this blog will get a lot more interesting, I promise!
